Horticulture is considered high value agriculture, and many farmers view
horticultural farming as crop diversification. Diversification of cropping
systems into high value commodities is important to make the transition from
subsistence to market-oriented agriculture, with the concomitant

vegetable crops being historically neglected for various reasons. They
