Dr. S P Giri

Dr. S P Giri, had a long association with parmar family . He was instrumental in development of several initiatives at Dhanbad, Jharkhand. He is a famous Rice Breeder and several of his varieties are very popular among farming communities. He received graduate and post graduate degree from Gorakhpur University. Phd degree from Bananas Hindu University.At present he is working as Rice Breeder at Crop Research Station Masodha, Ayodhya, a research center of N D University of Agriculture and Technology, Ayodhya. He has published more than fifty research papers, co-edited five souvenir books of national and international conferences and three books including one book published Food and Agriculture Organizations (FAO) of United Nations. He is associated in the development and release of rice varieties.


Dr. Brajendra

Dr. Brajendra is the eldest son of Late Sh. R Y N Parmar, on whose memory, the PPD, and Parmar Publication came into existence. An alumni of IARI,New Delhi ,where from ,did his both masters and doctoral degrees. Started his ARS career from ICAR Mizoram, ICAR Meghalaya and served/worked in several capacities and presently working as Principal Scientist, Soil Science, ICAR-Indian Institute of Rice Research, Hyderabad, Telangana . He was selected and served for a tenure (2015-2018) for the Global Soil Partnership(GSP) , as an expert member of Intergovernmental Technical Panel on Soils (ITPS), United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, Rome, Italy. ITPS is the scientific advisory body of GSP, UNFAO,Rome, Italy and consists of world’s top 27 soil experts.


Dr Atul Kumar

Dr Atul Kumar is an Agricultural graduate from RAU Pusa Bihar.Dr Kumar is Masters (2000) and Doctorate (2004) from Division of Plant Pathology, IARI New Delhi.In his short career of 14 years he has received several prestigious awards like IARI Merit Medal for Ph.Din 2005,Suniti Bala Raychaudhary award for best Ph.D studentof Division of Plant PathologyIARI New Delhi in 2005,Post Doc from Brisbane Australia for six months in 2008-09,DST Young Scientist award in 2012 ,One Variety BIRSA CHANA-3 released from SVRC Jharkhand is credited to his name as pathologist. He has published more than 50 research articles in various National and International journals. Apart from this he has been author of two books and more than 60 popular articles. Five master’s degrees have been awarded under his guidance and he is guiding 4 Ph.D students at present.Many awards and recognitions from various scientific societies of the country like best oral, best poster, chairman in international conference etc has been received by him.He has been PI of four externally funded project from DST and ICAR.


Dr Varsha Rani

Dr Varsha Rani is presently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Crop Physiology, BAU , Ranchi. She earned doctorate and masters in plant physiology from GBPUA&T , Pantnagar. Completed graduation in agriculture from BHU, Varanasi. Dr Varsha has been receipent of prestigious DST INSPIRE fellow ship and ICAR JRF during her doctorate and master's respectively. Dr Varsha has published in her name several research papers in journal of repute like nature scientific report , plant signalling behaviour and protoplasm etc for her splendid work on the problem of mango malformation. She has been associated with projects like AICRIP rice and AICRIP wheat and barley


Dr.K.C.Sivabalan

Dr.K.C.Sivabalan Ph.D., Agrl.Extension, PG diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication.Alumni Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, TN.Agricultural Extension expert and developer of MITRA mobile application. Holding 3 copyrights and bagged International and National awards for research work in farm technology transfer. Dr.B.Nirmala

Dr.B.Nirmala, Senior Scientist (Agricultural Economics), ICAR-IIRR,Hyderabad, has undertaken several research projects to study the socio-economic profile and farm level impact assessment of improved rice production technologies of rice growers across the country covering almost all the agro-ecological zones in the past 14 years of her service at ICAR-IIRR. She has designed and used innovative research methodologies and techniques in assessing the health impacts of Biofortification in rice. Quantification of critical components of rice production and indices for measuring rice yield gaps are the significant contributions made by her to the discipline of agricultural economics. As an indispensable associate of multidisciplinary teams, the economic evaluation and impact studies done by her for resource conservation technologies in rice, system of rice intensification, direct seeded rice, hybrid rice technology, hybrid rice seed production and biofortification provided credence to these technologies. As an active member of the technology dissemination programs of the institute and by organizing 2,000 Demonstrations on farmer fields, enabled farmers to reduce the cost of cultivation. As a coordinator and associate, she has organized training programs for different stakeholders in rice sector. She has an in-depth understanding of the needs of the rice growers, researchers and traders and is thus relentlessly striving to help the farmers.


Dr. Ekhlaque Ahmad

Dr. Ekhlaque Ahmad is working as Junior Scientist-cum-Assistant Professor at BAU, Ranchi. He is actively engaged in breeding of different cereals, pulses and oilseeds crops and has development and released of various crops variety viz., Rice-4, Wheat-1, Gram-1, Groundnud-1, Linseed-2 and under process of release are finger millet-2, pigeonpea-1, maize-2. He is life member of eleven professional societies and member of editorial advisory board of six national & international Journals. He is also served as reviewer of various national/international journals and has published more than 35 research papers in reputed journals, 1 book chapter, 2 short communication, 4 popular article and more than 45 abstracts in national and 7 in international conferences. He delivered 3 invited lectures and presented 10 research papers (oral/poster) in different seminars, symposiums and conferences. He has felicitated by various professional societies and has actively participated in transfer of technology activities like delivering lectures for officers/extension personnel who engaged in extension and development of agriculture, TV talk, Radio talk, Krishak Gosthi, Kisan Mela etc. for the farmers.

Dr. (Mrs.) Kumud Singh

Dr. (Mrs.) Kumud Singh is a renowned Indian entomologist. She has over 32 years of experience in teaching, research, extension work and administration. Currently, Dr. Singh is serving as University Professor in the Department of Entomology, Birsa Agricultural University Ranchi.She earned Ph.D. in Entomology from CCS Haryana Agricultural University Hisar in 1987.Dr. Singh has published 3 books, over 60 research papers and over 50 popular articles in leading scientific journals and farmer magazines.She has earned over 15 awards of national and international repute including 6 lifetime achievement awards for her contribution in the field of entomology, agriculture research and farmer welfare..

Dr S.S. Porte Currently working as a Senior Scientist in the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Indira Gandhi Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Raipur. completed B.Sc. (Ag.) and M.Sc. (Ag.) From Indira Gandhi Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Raipur in the year 2000 and 2002, respectively, with Specialization in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry and Ph.D.(Ag.) Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur (M.P.) in the year 2016-17. current research areas are AICRP on integrated farming system in the Department of Agronomy. worked in research work and gave important contribution for successful conduction of experiments under AICRP on LTFE, AICRP on Rice, NFL, FLDS, R&D Trails and AICRP on IFS project. conducted different trials on crop management, weed management, integrated nutrient management, etc. in different land situations successfully with significant findings.


Dr. Udit Kumar

Dr. Md. Parwaiz Alam

Dr. Md. Parwaiz Alam, completed his post graduation as well as his post doctorate in agronomy from the Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi. He is currently posted as Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist in the Dept of Agronomy, BAU. He has been involved in teaching for more than 15years to both undergraduate and postgraduate students and has guided several postgraduate and agribusiness management students. He has also been a part of many workshops and field expeditions organised for farmers of Jharkhand since 2004. He has worked out the agronomy of different new crop varieties viz. rice variety - Birsamati, wheat variety - Birsa Gehu-3, linseed variety - Priyam. He has been the chairman of many sessions at the national level workshops organised in this field year after year. He is a lifetime member of Indian Society of Agronomy, Indian Society Weed Science and many more.


Dr. Sudhir Kumar Singh

Dr. Sudhir Kumar Singh is working as Assistant Professor-cum-Junior Scientist of Agronomy at Agriculture College Garhwa under Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi. He graduated in B.Sc. (Ag.) from Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur (Chhattisgarh), M.Sc. (Ag.) and Ph.D. in Agronomy from Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, (Jharkhand). He has an experience of six years in teaching, research and extension activities and published 36 research papers and 10 popular articles at national and international level and 3 chapters in book.


Dr Ritesh Sharma

Dr Ritesh Sharma, is serving as Principal Scientist & In-Charge in Basmati Export Development Foundation . He is involved in Maintenance Breeding, Purification of seeds of Basmati varieties through Breeder and Foundation Seed Production, Maintenance of germplasm for DNA and Quality testing database, various research activities on different aspects of production technology including organic farming. Developed several new technologies including Pata Practice and Basmati Paddy Thresher (Applied for Patent). He is actively involved in providing extension services to the farmers of all basmati growing states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir states. He has organized more than 120 State/National level workshops for farmers, technical officers & exporters on different aspects related to Basmati export and production. He has conducted different Trainings for farmers on seed production at farmers field. He has more than 125 programmes broadcasted on television in different states including Live shows on National TV (Kisan Channel). Dr Sharma developed a full movie (29 minute duration) on Basmati production for the farmers related to production of export quality Basmati rice.Dr Sharma was nominated in “Two Member’s National Committee” for registration of Rice mills for Export of Rice to USA as APEDA representative and he also nominated many times as Member of Variety Identification Committee by DDG ICAR. Dr Sharma delivered several lectures in different International/ National Conferences/ Seminars/ Kisan Mela etc.


Dr. Jai Kumar

Dr. Jai Kumar is serving at Faculty of Forestry, BAU as Assistant Professor – cum – Junior Scientist. He has successfully handled six externally funded projects from Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi; National Medicinal Plants Board, New Delhi; National Horticultural Mission, Jharkhand and Indian Council of Forestry Research & Organization, Dehra Dun on Medicinal & Aromatic Plants as well as Non-Timber Forest Products. He has actively contributed as Co-chief Investigator in the development of Forestry Portal under sponsored project from Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India. He is one of the team members of BAU IT project for which two international awards namely “Manthan Award” and “Scotch Award” has been received. He is the editorial member of “Birsa Kisan Diary” and “Pathari Krishi” published from Birsa Agricultural University. He has evaluated internal ICFRE research project and in the referee panel of esteemed scientific journal Indian Forester and Indian Journal of Soil & Water Conservation. He has published 95 research and extension articles on various aspects of M&APs as well as NTFPs. He has actively contributed in the development of “Breeder Seed Production Area & Germplasm Bank of M&APs”, and “NTFPs Entrepreneurship Workshop” at Faculty of Forestry, BAU. Dr. Dhermesh Verma

Dr. Dhermesh Verma, is domain expert in Remote Sensing & GIS applications for natural resource management with almost 23 years’ experience both in Govt. and private sector. He has managed several pioneer Remote Sensing projects in Soil Mapping, Crop suitability, Crop Mapping and yield forecast. Dr. Verma has worked in World Bank aided projects on Sodicland Mapping at cadastral level and regional level; Irrigation Impact Evaluation using Remote Sensing & GIS. Dr. Verma, is Chair for Pillar-1 of ASP of Global Soil Partnership program of UNFAO and a consultant to Agri Industry in India. Dr. Verma has considerable work in image fusion techniques, problem soil mapping, Open Source GIS, yield modeling and crop stress monitoring. He has many publications including research articles and books. His current research interest is Climate Smart Agriculture, Soil Organic Carbon sequestration, Land use/land cover change, Big Data and digital agriculture.


Amarendra Kumar

Amarendra Kumar, PhD, is presently working as Assistant Professor-cum-Junior Scientist in the Department of Plant Pathology, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, India. He received his MSc. and PhD degree from from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, and University of Delhi, New Delhi respectively. Dr. Kumar was awarded Junior Research Fellowship (ICAR) New Delhi, Junior Research fellowship and Senior Research fellowship (UGC), New Delhi, during his MSc and PhD program respectively. He has a decade-long career dedicated to teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate), research, and extension activities. Dr. Kumar has led more than 8 national and international research projects. His research specializations are marker assisted breeding for disease resistant in rice and management of diseases of rice. He has published several national and international research papers, review and popular articles. Dr. Kumar participated in development of five rice varieties and one linseed variety. He has presented many research papers at national and international seminars and symposia.


Dr., Adarsh Kumar Srivastava

Dr., Adarsh Kumar Srivastava did B.Sc ( Ag. & A.H ) and M. Sc Ag. ( Agricultural Extension) from  C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur and Ph. D from Institute of Agricultural Sciences BHU Varanasi in Extension Education in 1998. Also obtained Certificate in Women Empowerment through Self Help Groups and Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Extension Management from MANAGE. He has joined as Scientist in Agricultural Extension in Krishi Vigyan Kendra ( Birsa Agricultural University Kanke Ranchi) Dhanbad in July. 2004. From the date of joining he is serving for welfare of farmers through formation of SHG, Training of farmers, demonstration of new technology and Research in the field of Agriculture in welfare of the farming community. He has published more than ten research paper in reputed journal and edited books on Sak Sabji and Flower production. He has also developed 14 extension literature useful for the farmers. Dr.G.Mariappan

Dr.G.Mariappan completed his M.Sc. (Agri.), Ph.D., in Agronomy from TNAU, Coimbatore, India. He was a recipient of UGC Rajeev Gandhi National fellowship award for the year 2012-15, best Agricultural Officer award from district Collector Vellore in the year 2016, and he has got many society awards for his outstanding contribution to in the field of Agricultural extension as well as student community. He has published more than 10 books and he has act as organizing secretary and co organizing secretary in many National and International seminars/conferences. At present he is working as Agricultural officer in soil survey as well as extension in the state department of Agriculture, Vellore.


Mr. Praveen Kumar

Mr. Praveen Kumar is serving as Scientist (Plant Protection), at Holy Cross Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hazaribag, Jharkhand. He has also served Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage as Scientific Assistant. He has published many research papers in reputed journals. He got Appreciation Certificate for putting best effort in “ Krishi Basant-2014” by Plant Protection Adviser, Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Govt. of India, Faridabad. He also received Innovative Scientist Award during “Agrotech-2017” at BAU, Ranchi, Jharkhand; Appreciation Certificate from Holy Cross Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hazaribag, for best effort in KVK works and Appreciation Certificate during Workshop on Basic Research Methodology held at Ramkrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Ranchi, Jharkhand in 2016. He also got Young Scientist Award during Nation Conference on “Improving income of farmers through Agriculture and Aquaculture through Development Interventions”, at ICAR- CIFA, Bhubaneswar, 2018 and Young Extension Worker Award during National Conference on Livelihood and Food Security (LFS-2018), at Bihar Animal Science University, Patna, 2018.


Dr. Rajendra Singh

Dr. Rajendra Singh is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Entomology, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut. ). He is actively involved in providing extension services to the farmers and developed video for basmati rice production. He has organized several State/National level workshops for farmers and has several programmes broadcasted on television(Kisan Channel). He has developed IPM module for White grubs in sugarcane crops and has supervised several projects as PI and Co-Pi. Dr Rajendra has delivered several lectures in different International/ National Conferences/ Seminars/ Kisan Mela etc. and supervised several M.Sc and Ph.D scholars.He has contributed in establishment of bio control unit and has identified new bio agents.


Dr. Prabhat Ranjan Oraon

Dr. Prabhat Ranjan Oraon is serving at Faculty of Forestry, BAU as a Junior Scientist cum Assistant Professor since 2004 and actively engaged in teaching, research and extension of Forestry and allied activities. He has published more than 50 research and extension articles on various aspects of Forestry as well as Agroforestry. He has actively contributed in the development of appropriate Agroforestry models suitable for the agro climatic conditions of Jharkhand. He has participated in many national and international seminar /conferences under various capacities. Presently he is working in the All India Coordinated Research Project (Agroforestry), Indian Council of Agricultural Research as a Scientist.


Dr. Arun kumar Tiwari

Dr. Arun kumar Tiwari is currently working as an Jr. Scientist-cum –Assistant-Professor in the department of Horticulture, BAU, Ranchi. He is actively engaged in Research, teaching and extension as Incharge, P.I. and Co-P.I. of several projects. He has published several research papers in journals of repute. Served for around 03 years as social worker to make the village people self-reliant through agricultural and allied activities. During this period, worked closely with different organisations like National Thermal Power corporation and NGOs / Societies headed by Padmashree P.R. Mishra jee (Chakriya Vikas Pranali), Padma vibhushan Anna Hazare jee, Raman Magssessey Award Winner Sh. Rajendra Singh jee (Tarun Bharat), Vandna Shiva jee (Gene Compeign), Devendra Sharma jee ( eminent scientist and agril. Economist) and Arun Pathak jee (Sulabh International). Also visited United Kingdom to exchange the knowledge in the field of agriculture and socio – economic condition of both the countries. It extensively covered different agricultural universities and institutions including talks in BBC London.


Dr Laxman Ahire

Dr Laxman Ahire is serving ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad as a Assistant Chief Technical Officer and also heading In-Charge of Training Unit. He has around 30 years of experience in farm management, training management and Field Experience Training. He is also involved in extension related activities. He has expertise in educational administration and student evaluation also. He is dealing with the capacity building programmes offered by NAARM for the NARES system. He has exposure in dealing with the AICTE and NBA activities related to the educational propgrammes. He is also dealing with students and other important visitors at the Academy.


Dr. N. K. Sinha

Dr. N. K. Sinha, a Principal Scientist in Seed Science and Technology of ICAR-Indian Institute of Natural Resins and Gums (ICAR-IINRG), Ranchi, India under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). He has 27 years of research, teaching and extension experience and published two monographs, three books and thirty book chapters, seventy research papers in the journals of national and international repute. He also accomplished many externally/internationally funded projects. He has contributed several farmer friendly technologies with a larger role to play under the changing climate scenario.


Dr Vivek Yadav

Dr Vivek Yadav is presently working as Assistant Agronomist at Rice Research Station, Nagina, Bijnor which comes under administrative control of Sardar Vallabhbhai patel University of Ag & Technology, Meerut. Dr Yadav is working on rice agronomy and focusing on resource conservation technologies of rice. He has published about 30 research papers in National/ International journals. He has also published one book on ‘Agro-techniques of cereal crop, 7 book chapters and many articles. He has also been the potential reviewer of many journals and handled Projects of L G Life Science , Japan and Utter Pradesh council of Agricultural Research, Lucknow. He has also got Young Scientist Award, Excellence in Research Award and Scientist of the Year award from different National societies.


Dr. Jyotish Kumar Kerketta

Dr. Jyotish Kumar Kerketta is serving at Faculty of Forestry, BAU as Assistant Professor – cum – Junior Scientist and is actively involved in the teaching, research and extension for over ten years. He has conducted extensive field research related to productivity, silviculture and socio-economic of Diospyros melanoxylon (Kendu) in different agro-climatic zones of Jharkhand. He was also involved as Forestry and Fodder Development Officer under IFAD assisted Jharkhand Tribal Development Programme in the remote tribal villages of Jharkhand. He has contributed a write-up on sacred species and sites, published by the Cambridge University Press. He has attained many national and international conferences and gone through MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on Teaching Management organized by ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad, India. He has published many research and extension articles on various aspects of forestry.


Ms. Shruti Bharty

Ms. Shruti Bharty is serving Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage as Scientific Assistant, at Central Integrated Pest Management Centre, Bhubaneswar. She has published many research papers in reputed journals. She got 2nd position in Exhibition in the “Eastern Zone Regional Agriculture Fair And Agrotech- 2013” for “Model on secondary Agriculture” and also received 2nd position in exhibition in “Agrotech-2015” for “Integrated Farming System Model”. She also received Appreciation Certificate during Workshop on Basic Research Methodology held at Ramkrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Ranchi, Jharkhand in 2016. She also got Outstanding M.Sc. Thesis Award for her outstanding work in the field of Agronomy especially in Weed Science during National Conference on Livelihood and Food Security (LFS-2018), at Bihar Animal Science University, Patna, 2018.


Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh

Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh is working as Assistant Professor (senior scale) in the Department of Agronomy Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Dr. Singh has 14 years of Rice Research experiences in the field of Agronomy. He is Ph.D. from Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur (Bihar), Dr. Singh published about 25 research papers and participated in about 20 National and International seminars/symposia and training programs. Dr D.N Singh is serving as Director Research, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi. He has also served as an Associate Dean, College of Biotechnology, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi. Dr. Manoj Mishra

Dr. Manoj Mishra is serving as Head, Department of Mass Communication V.B.S. Purvanchal University, Jaunpur (UP) India. He has more than 14 years of teaching experience at PG level and 5 years of research experience under UGC Programme at University of Allahabad. He has published several research papers in reputed journals, books and articles. Dr. Mishra has trained in Science Communication and successfully completed several projects supported by NCSTC, DST Government of India. Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh

Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh is Senior Scientist (Agronomy), ICAR- National Research Centre on Integrated Farming, Motihari (Bihar). He obtained his master degree in Agriculture (M. Sc. Ag. Agronomy) in 2003 from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar (Uttarakhand). From the same University he has done his Ph. D. in Agronomy in the year 2007. In the year 2001 he joined U. P. Council of Sugarcane Research, Shahjahanpur and worked as Scientific Officer (Agronomy), Senior Scientific Officer (Agronomy) and Head of Division, Agronomy. In the year 2012, he joined ICAR at IINRG, Ranchi and worked there up to July 2017. He has vast research, extension and development experience in sugarcane, natural resins and gums. He has contributed more than 20 chapters in books and published more than 40 research papers in different journals of national and international repute.


Dr U.P. Shahi

Dr U.P. Shahi young Soil Scientist after graduating from UP College Varanasi, did his M.Sc. Ag. & Ph.D. in Soil Science from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar. After serving SKUAS&T-Kashmir as Assistant Professor Soils for a short period he joined Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut in August 2005 and continuing. The specialization of Dr Shahi is Soil Fertility and Nutrient Management and apart from this he is having a sound knowledge of Agrometeorology. The contribution of Dr Shahi in Teaching Research and Extension is significant. To make teaching more effective through ICT he got an opportunity to visit Cornell University USA for e-learning program and is` responsible person for its implementation in the University. In research area Dr Shahi is engaged in different projects in the capacity of PI and co-PI. He had handled 3 internationally funded projects in the capacity of PI (Uralkali Traiding (Gibraltar) Russia, Sirius Minerals Plc London) and CoPI (IRRI-STRASA Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation). He is also associated in the project FASAL and GKMS financed by Ministry of Earth Sciences GOI. Under the GKMS weather based agro-advisory is released twice in a week and dessiminate through SMS via mkisan portal for 20 lacs farmers of western Uttar Pradesh. His research aptitude is fully justified with substantial publication in the journals of International and National repute so far he had published more than 50 research papers in different journals.


Dr Pravin Himmatrao Vaidya

Dr Pravin Himmatrao Vaidya completed my B.Sc. Agriculture in 1993, M,Sc Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry in 1995 in first division. Work as “Senior Research Fellow” under ICAR Funded Project on “Soil Salinity” at Dr. PDKV, Akola during 1995 to 1997. Ph.D from Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola (M.S.) in the discipline of Land Resource Management under the guidance of Dr. D. K. Pal, Head, SRS Division NBSS & LUP (ICAR) Nagpur during 2002. I have worked as “Research Associate” Under DST Funded Project “Soil Landscape model For Tripura” at SRS Division NBSS & LUP Nagpur during 2000 to 2003. I have also work as “Visiting Scientist” ICRISAT, Hyderabad during 2003 to 2004. “Assistant Professor” of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry during 2004 to 2014. Presently working as “Associate Professor” of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, College of Agriculture, Latur, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani (Maharashtra). Bears 18 years experience in Teaching, Research and Extension. To my credit have 3 research recommendations for welfare of farming community. I have guided 19 M.Sc. Students and serve as research co-guide of 35 M.Sc. students and 03 Ph.D. students. I have published 35 research papers in national and international journals, three books and more than 35 technical papers in the journals and souvenirs, more than 35 popular articles and technical articles in reputed magazines. I have delivered more than 15 radio talks and several lectures in workshop, farmer rallies and Farmers training programme and Kisan mela. Dr. Mukesh Kumar Meena

Dr. Mukesh Kumar Meena was born on 15-12-1984 and presently working as Assistant Professor of Crop Physiology at Directorate of Research, University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur (Karnataka) since August 2011 to till date. He graduated in 2006 and obtained M.Sc. (Agri.) degree in Crop Physiology in 2009 from University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. He did his Ph.D. in Crop Physiology during 2014-15 from UAS, Dharwad and is specialized in the field of Seed Physiology, Post Harvest Physiology, Plant Mineral Nutrition, Stress Physiology and Plant Growth Regulators. Dr Meena , M.K. has recipient of prestigious RGNF-UGC Fellowship for his Doctorate degree and ICAR JRF for Master Degree , respectively. An enthusiastic teacher and researcher, he has taught UG and PG courses. He has guided 11 M.Sc. (Agri.) and 05 Ph.D. students as advisory committee member. Presently two students enrolled under his Chairmanship for Post Graduate Studies. Who have worked on Post harvest physiology, Stress Physiology, Seed Physiology, Climate change and plant growth regulators etc. Dr. Meena, M.K. as a Life Member & Fellow of “Hind Agri-Horticultural Society” in association with Hind Agricultural Research and Training Institute, U.P., India and Fellow of Academy for Environment and Life Sciences . Dr. Meena M.K. has experience in Agriculture (Teaching, Research, Extension, Consultancy, Development, Administration, etc.,) spans more than 8 years. Dr. Rahul Kumar is presently working as a Assistant Professor cum Jr. Scientists, Department of Plant Pathology, Agriculture College Garhwa, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Dr. Shanti Bhushan

Dr. Shanti Bhushan is presently working as Junior Scientist (Plant Breeding and Genetics), Veer Kunwar Singh College of Agriculture, Dumraon (Buxar) under BAU, Sabour, Bhagalpur, India. He received his B. Sc., M. Sc. and Ph. D. degree from ANGRAU, Hyderabad, BHU, Varanasi and BAU, Ranchi respectively. Dr. Bhushan has experience of more than 13 years in research, teaching, extension and training. He has been awarded with Best Teacher Award, Young Scientist Award, Young Plant Breeder Award, Distinguished Scientist Award and Scientist of the Year Award by the different professional societies. Dr. Bhushan has led more than 6 national and international research projects. He has written more than forty research papers and he was the founder of banana fibre extraction from banana pseudostem when he was posted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Vaishali. Dr. Seema

Dr. Seema is currently working as Assistant professor cum Junior Scientist in the Department of Agronomy, BAU, Sabour, Bhagalpur. She has completed her UG, PG and Ph.D. programme from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. She has five years of research experience in rice, wheat and lathyrus crop. At present she is working as Agronomist in AICRP Wheat for Sabour center. She also has five years of teaching experience of UG and PG courses. She has guided 4 UG and 3 PG students under her guidance. Dr. Seema also has published many research papers national and international journals , book chapters, articles in Hindi and extension folders etc. She is active members in several committee of the university.


Chandan Kishore

Chandan Kishore is an Assistant Professor-cum-Jr. Scientist, at the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, Bihar Agricultural College, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour. He completed B.Sc. (Agriculture) from Tirhut College of Agriculture, Dholi and Master’s Degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics, Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur. He received first rank holder in MSc. (Ag) programme and obtained UGC, National Fellowship award. He qualified ICAR-NET for lectureship. He has published several research papers in reputed national and international journals, book chapters, Practical manuals, teaching manuals, Souvenir books and popular articles. Guided more than 20 M.Sc (Ag) students as Co-advisor and two students as advisor. He has eight years of teaching experience in UG and PG courses. He has been actively involved in research projects on oilseeds; especially on Brassica, groundnut, sesame and soybean breeding. Handled several university/state funded as well as externally funded (DST-SERB) projects on Rapeseed & Mustard, Groundnut research (ICRISAT), AICRP on Rapeseed & Mustard and state funded research on Sesame & Soybean. He has expertise in sugarcane tissue culture and rice breeding as well. Organized several national and international conferences in association with several professional societies. He also conferred Young scientist award, Excellence in Research and Outstanding Breeder Award.


Dr. Ravi Ranjan Kumar

Dr. Ravi Ranjan Kumar is working as Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist at Department of Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur (India) since November 2014 where he is involved in teaching, research and extension activities. He has pursued his M.Sc. and Ph.D.degree in Biotechnology from Gulbarga University, Gulbarga (India). Before joining at BAU, Sabour; He also worked as Research Associate at Institute of Biotechnology, Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad and Scientist (Plant Biotechnology) in Vidya Prathisthan’s School of Biotechnology, Baramati (Maharashtra). Earlier to his career, Dr. Kumar worked on identification and characterization of drought resistance genes in pigeonpea and isolated 262 Expressed Sequence Tags (ESTs) which has submitted to NCBI-Gene Bank. He has also worked on maize, soybean and pulse crop (chickpea, lentil and lathyrus) in aspect of marker assisted characterization and molecular breeding. He has received prestigious Early Career Research Award by DST-SERB, Govt. of India, New Delhi and a research project on Molecular characterization and in vivo knock down of Potato Leaf Roll Virus. He has sequenced whole genome of 8 isolates of potato leaf roll virus and also identified 686 transcriptomes from PLRV infected potato crop.Dr. Kumar has also received as young scientist ward, Innovative Scientist of the year, Excellence in Research award from various professional societies of the country. He has published about 50 research papers/review articles/book chapters in national and international journals of repute with more than 300 citations. He has authored a text book of Biophysical Techniques published by Kalyani Publishers, New Delhi. He has also published 6 practical manuals and edited six conference souvenirs and proceedings book. His present research work is oriented towards the plant molecular biology and pulses improvement through biotechnological approaches.  


Dr. V.Vigila

Dr. V.Vigila is presently working as Senior Research fellow in NICRA Scheme, ICAR, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Needamangalam, Thiruvarur District. She earned master’s and doctorate in Nematology from TNAU, Coimbatore. She started her career as a Senior Research Fellow at Centre for Agricultural and Rural Development Studies (CARDS), TNAU, Coimbatore under Price Forecasting Scheme funded by National Agriculture Development programme (NADP) during 2016-2017. She was awarded Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for pursuing her Ph.d in Nematology. She has cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2014. She has published 2 books, 14 Research papers, 9 popular articles and 20 News items in news bulletins.


Dr. Anil Kumar Singh

Dr. Anil Kumar Singh is scientist in Department of Horticulture in KVK , Piprakothi, under Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar. He did his B.Sc.(Ag) from BAC, Sabour, Bhagalpur and M.Sc.(pomology) from DRPCAU, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar & Ph. D. in Horticulture from IIAS, BHU, Varanasi. He was throughout first class in his carrier. He cleared ICAR, NET in Pomology. He also got degree of certificate in computer Application from Rashtriya Computer Sakshartha Mission and Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Extension Management (PGDAEM), Hydrabad. He has well experienced in the field of Post Harvest Technology and characterization of different varieties of litchi for further improvement of litchi through breeding hybridization. He is actively involved in extension, research and teaching activities for last 19 years and has published 17 research papers, 25 abstract and many popular articles, bulletins, leaflets etc. He has participated in 25 national seminar/symposium/conference including many International Seminars on litchi and other crops. His main work was on “Effect of Post harvest treatments on Physico-Chemical Characteristics and shelf –life of litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) fruits” and “Varietal studies of Litchi”. He was also involved in ICAR research Project on “Improvement in productivity in development of sustainable production system for Litchi”. He is the life member of Green AGRI Professional Society, Indian Society of Horticulture, New Delhi and RAU, Journal of Research, pusa. Dr. Ranju Kumari

Dr. Ranju Kumari is Assistant Professor in Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics in Nalanda College of Horticulture, Nalanda under Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar. She did her B.Sc.(Ag) from Tirhut College of Agriculture, Dholi, Muzaffarpur and M.Sc. & Ph. D. in Genetics from Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar. She was throughout first class in her carrier. She cleared ICAR, NET in Plant Breeding in the year 2001. She also got degree of Certificate in computing (CIC) from IGNOU, New Delhi, Diploma in Information Technology from Rashtriya Computer Sakshartha Mission and Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Extension Management (PGDAEM), Hydrabad. She has well experienced in the field of Plant Tissue Culture, Isozyme analysis, wide Hybridization and Heterosis Breeding. She is actively involved in teaching, research and extension activities for last 15 years and has published 18 research papers, 16 abstract and many popular articles, bulletins, leaflets etc. Presently, She is conducting state level project as P.I. and Co. P.I.. She has participated in 20 national seminar/symposium/conference including 5 International Seminar on litchi and other crops. Her main research work was on “Manifestation of Heterosis in Relation to Genetic Divergence and Isozyme Pattern in Maize” and “Development of Micro propagation Protocol for Some Improved Genotypes of Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.)” during Ph.D(Ag.) and M.Sc.(Ag.) degree programme respectively. She was also involved in ICAR research Project on “Genetic evaluation and improvement of sesbania (dhaincha) and crotalaria (sun hemp) for green manuring” and “Pre-Breeding for Genetic Enhancement of Rabi Pigeon pea”. Dr. T. Pradeesh Kumar is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Vanavarayar Institute of Agriculture, Pollachi, Coimbatore. He received his Doctorate programme in Department of Agronomy from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. Having more than seven years of teaching experience for B.Sc. (Agriculture) and Diploma (Agriculture) students. He has expertise in many areas of Nanotechnology especially in Nano-herbicide with working knowledge and practical experiences in Raman spectroscopy, particle size analyser etc.During his career, he has published one text books and 6 book chapters in his field of specialization. He has published 8 research articles and other 10 popular publications in his credit. Dr. R. Muthukrishnan did his B.Sc. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor at the Vanavarayar Institute of Agriculture, Pollachi for involving UG and Diploma teaching and handled 15 courses till date and guided fifteen B.Sc. (Agri.) students for their project work.During his career, Dr. Muthukrishnan has made outstanding contributions in the field of Soil Science. Dr.NeelamKumari

Dr.NeelamKumari is an Assistant Professor in IFTM University, Moradabad. She has completed her UG,PG,and Ph.D. programmer from Dr.B.R.AmbedkarUniversity, Agra.She did her Ph.D.in Sericulture (Entomology).She has ten years teaching and seven years research experience.She achieved best oral presentation and young scientist award. In her career she supervised more than twenty PG students for the completion of their M.Sc. degree.Currently she is guiding three Ph.D. students. Dr.Neelam has published many research papers in National and International Journals,book chapters, Articles .She co-chaired different technical sessions of the National conferences. Mr. Balesh Goudappanavar

Mr. Balesh Goudappanavar, received a B. Sc in Horticulture from UHS, Bagalkot, Karnataka followed M.Sc (Hort.) in Fruit Science from UHS, Bagalkot and currently pursuing Ph.D. in Horticulture at UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru. He has published more than four papers and five abstracts in various journals.


Utpal Das

Utpal Das, was born in Madhabnagar, a small village in South district of state Tripura. He perused his under graduate degree in Horticulture (2010-2014) from CAU, CHF, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh. He completed his Post Graduate degree in general Horticulture (2014-2016) specialization in Fruit Science from AAU, Jorhat, Assam. Presently, he is pursuing his Ph.D (Agri.) in Horticulture (Fruit science) at UAS, Raichur, Karnataka. He is the recipient of Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF/NFSC) sponsored by UGC for his doctoral Studies.


Dr. Prakasha G

Dr. Prakasha, G. Received a B. Sc. in Agriculture from UAS, Dharwad, Karnataka followed by M. Sc. and Ph.D. in Agronomy from UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru, Karnataka. He is currently working as SRF under NICRA (ICAR) project at VC farm, Mandya. He has published more than 15 national papers and 10 abstracts. Miss Manju sahu

Miss Manju sahu working as principal, KL college of Horticulture at Dhamtari under IGKV, Raipur. She received her B.Sc. (Horticultur) From Indra Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalay Raipur (C. G) and M. Sc. (Horticultur.) in Vegetable Science from MGCGVV, Chitrakoot – Satna (MP), she qualified ASRB-NET in 2017 from vegetable science. She has more then three year teaching, research and extension experience. They benefited the farmars and society by publishing many research paper, technical articles in different journals, magazines and news papers.


Dr. Ashok Kumar

Dr. Ashok Kumar a doctorate in Ag. Extension Education from Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur (Bihar). He has teaching experience of 4 years at UG level and presently working as Subject Matter Specialist at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gaya (Bihar) under Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur (Bihar) since January,2008.
